With reference to a recent statistical report from Hitwise, which is a well-known marketing research company in U.S., the top 10 most popular websites for Hong Kong people nowadays are as below:

- Google(7.68%)
- Yahoo! Hong Kong(5.89%)
- Youtube(2.79%)
- Gmail(1.95%)
- Google Hong Kong(1.94%)
- Windows Live Mail(1.39%)
- Yahoo! Mail Hong Kong(1.36%)
- Yahoo! Hong Kong Search(1.29%)
- Hong Kong Jockey Club- Bets(1.06%)
It is worth to realize that Google was not in the top 3 most popular websites in the previous years, but the number of visitors has significantly increased by three times since February, such that Google now is even more popular than Yahoo! Hong Kong. The number of Google visitors still keeps increasing at the moment.
In addition, among the top 20 most visited websites listed in Hitwise report, three of the websites, Google Hong Kong, Gmail and Youtube, are under google. They got 14.36% of the total number of visitors including Google itself, whereas Yahoo and its related website received just 11.65%.
